Some of them are, others are not. It depends. The Chinese people I know personally are NOT. However, they are well educated and in higher-ranking positions at unis etc. I can't make any judgment on the other people with one exception - owners of crappy training centres.....Haha

You're right not to tar all Chinese people with the same brush. The Chinese who emigrated to the west back in the day helped immensely as laborers to build many of the world's first railways and canals, for example. They knew how to survive despite living in extremely bad conditions with little money. They also worked very hard, whereas most of the white laborers weakened quickly and perished due to being unable to cope with the physical demands of the work, and contracted serious diseases as they didn't take health precautions, unlike the Chinese.

I think any non-Chinese person who wishes to bash China should not do so from within China. If it's so bad here, why is he still here? He should do himself a huge favor and vamoose! Or else stop his China-bashing at once!
