Re Beijing New Oriental

"I made a mistake - I should've said 'continuous assessment' 'stead of 'continual assessment'. The former is a real bind for teachers as it involves scores being awarded to their pupils, based on class tests and projects. Such marks are then taken into account together with a pupil's final written exam score in order to award a final grade. Subject teachers will nave to be too busy imo."

Well, we very well may need to bring in Turnoi to settle this one. If there are no gaps/interruptions between class tests/projects and so forth it will be as you say but otherwise it will need to be continual. Of course an education system could have it totally wrong and be misleading you. But what does the Doctor say?- I will settle for that. In fact this one is serious and we should shout, help. "Amused!" "Amused" "Help!!"

Continuous Assessment is the educational policy in which students are examined continuously over most of the duration of their education, the results of which are taken into account after leaving school. It is often proposed or used as an alternative to a final examination system.
