You seem to have a holier than thou attitude to your wife and her relatives. What makes them any better/worse than those who are fleeing conflict zones and seeking asylum? Would the Chinese give you residency in China without any requirements such as being unable to work in any capacity? Would they treat you the same as the UK would treat your wife and family? Lots of Chinese do come over to claim benefits in countries such as Canada while doing other things, or as another poster years back on here commented, helping themselves to food from food banks that is meant for the truly needy, while making money in other ways. It is things like that, which do not endear the natives of Canada, the UK, and Australia to the behaviours of the Chinese.
