So just because a few bogus companies ripped some teachers off you think they are all like that? Save your breath and stop being an online hero!

Hi,

Please could you tell me what your problem is

Hundreds of teachers attempt to supplement their income by working online. The great majority of them are deprived of receiving payment from online firms. Scams in this industry abound.

The firm that you, in two personas, recommend is more than likely also a scam.

My intent it to spare individuals the experience of working without receiving payment from ETL.

The forum would be happy to provide ETL the opportunity to present its credentials.

Hi,

Please could you tell me what your problem is? Have you worked for ETL in the past or are you just a miserable, disgruntled loaner with nothing better to do?
The info is on the site for all to see! I do not know what your issue is, or why you seem to be so hostile towards this company, but it is clear to see that you are a typical key board warrior with no friends and probably an alcohol issue. Anyway, as I have previously said I have had a good experience with ETL so far. As for the Saudi college, I have no idea which college it was. Perhaps you should contact ETL directly and as them. Rebrand = dump a bad reputation.

"In partnership with a technical college in Saudi Arabia": Saudi colleges do not 'partner' with foreign teachers. They hire them.

This means that the 'new ownership' of ETL is a FT who never ran an online business before.

If I am wrong, please provide the name of the Saudi college, the name of the Saudi college 'partnership' prior to 'rebranding', and the name of the FT (now sole proprietor of ETL - probably yourself).

Failing to provide this verifiable data, which is not available on your website, NO ONE should work for this organization.

A retainer is a reasonable request, given that the firm has no track record and has have provided no data.

They launched in 2009 and rebranded in 2016. They were originally in partnership with a technical college in Saudi Arabia before going solo. As for a retainer, I have never heard of anyone asking for one or any company offering one. In fact, why would anyone company pay a salary upfront before you have do any work!? That's just crazy! So far I am happy with etl.

Three months! And you are already recommending them! Wow!

For those who might be skeptical, there is no contact information available on the site identifying who actually runs this organization that YOU say is doing such great work.

Their domain was registered 8 months ago, though they claim to be in business 7 years. They must have worked anonymously for over 6 years.

Anyone who decides to work for ETL based on this recommendation should demand a 'retainer': a non-refundable payment in advance for work to be done. This amount could then be deducted from your first salary.

If they refuse to trust you, you should refuse to trust them.

English Training Lounge, ETL

I have been an online ESL teacher for English Training Lounge for the past three months and so far all is going very well.

The company delivers online and face to face English teaching and training across the globe. I have been teaching mainly Chinese, Korean and Japanese students, although I have two new Spanish students due to start in March.

The company delivers all teaching materials via email and I connect with the students on Skype or Google Hangout. Payment is good and on time, unlike the last online ESL company I worked for. One thing that does annoy me is when student fail to login and miss their class time and then ask a reschedule.

All in all, very impressive!!! Keep up the good work ETL!
