I worked at Mengyang. It is a terrible place to work. The administration consist of complete idiots. The owner is greedy and will do anything to make money. The school doesn't care about education quality or its staff. If you quit they will try to blackmail you or cause visa problems. Never work for this school! Only a desperate loser would take this job. The boss Zangna is stupid and will never have a good business because she hires idiots and lies too much.

Mengyang Kindergarten in Baoding China is a scam business. They hire people that cannot speak English and don't give a damn about children. Its all a big scam to get parents money. I feel sorry for the kids that are wasting their time there. The school hires pervert white men and lie to parents about their qualifications. This school is where all the losers come who are too stupid to work anywhere else. Stay away from this school. They won't pay you on time and will make many excuses to lower your salary. They will lie if you quit and make u the bad guy.

Yes, such things have happened already with females being the "harassing sex predator". However, in real life, the number of female victims harassed by male sex predators is much higher and much more in common. Even then, you cannot play one thing against the other. All instances of such an act are bad and shouldn't be tolerated under any circumstances whatsoever.

Not only in the entertainment industry and not only in the US. With similar scandals currently in Britain (with the resignation of the Defense Secretary from his position and other more or less powerful people in the cabinet or in British Parliament) or in Haiti (with similar misconduct of UNO soldiers there), it shows that current power structures are always a potential invitation to the abuse of power by those who fail to control themselves in that respect for different reasons. The victims are men and women alike. Hence, your perception of that reality essentially needs to be a bit more holistic.

We are discovering with the revelations/accusations that are following the Harvey Weinstein scandal that a lot of men also are harassed by powerful men in the entertainment industry at least (I am sure it's the same in all situations where there are people in a position of authority - like the priests of the catholic church).

It's not only that you should be concerned about Western co-workers in a Chinese kindergarten who are either sex predators or pedophiles. China is a place that attracts some of the worst Western low-lives who are unemployable at home for reasons of their personality. It's also those Chinese kindergartens themselves that are nothing else than some dodgy and superfluous training centers with a special clientele, the kids of rich middle class parents. Their owners are business people without any background in education and disgusting business practices. If you are a decent teacher, you should refuse to work for them anywhere in the world, not only in China. Think of working in bilingual state-run primary schools instead, if ESL in early childhood is really one of your professional options.
I was told by someone who worked for Meng Yang in the past, that you should avoid this place at all cost, lucky I did my research before applying for a job there, being a female I would not like to be harassed by a sex predator.

Meng Yang is also black listed because a teacher from Albania is a sex predator yet he tries to frame his peers, I can't imagine how is a sickened person allowed to be around children. I was told by someone who worked for Meng Yang in the past, that you should avoid this place at all cost, lucky I did my research before applying for a job there, being a female I would not like to be harassed by a sex predator.
I don't know this Meng Yang, but it's good that the fair hand of justice tried and convicted him. Mind you if it was the justice metered out on this forum by all us fair-minded FT's the bloke will be as white/innocent as the driven snow. There's some very strange females around as well as males.

I will list a couple of schools you should be careful to teach in...
First is Mengyang kindergarten in Baoding... they got mad that I left their school so they lied and reported that my US passport is lost... so now whenever I want to travel in China, I get stopped at China airport customs because I am told that the passport I am holding has been reported lost in Baoding, and I did not report it lost, but baoding did...
Mengyang kindergarten in Baoding also tried to make excuses to not give me my passport back when I originally had to give it to them to get the residence permit; Mengyang kindergarten in Baoding did not want to give me my passport back after that and after two months I threatened them that I would go to the American embassy and that is when they finally gave me my passport back...so be very careful if you still want to work for them ...
Also be careful working in Rise school in Haikou because they will sometimes make excuses to not pay you on payday because they want to make sure they have your salary in case you leave early, so they will withhold your pay for a month in order to balance the salary payday to their favor if they have to because that is what happened to me after I went back to the USA for two months, so they made an excuse to not pay me for a month so that they can still have that usual salary advantage when I went back to Haikou. So yes, Rise school in Haikou does not pay your salary every month if it does not benefit them...
