I am someone that easily trusts people. (Yes I know - Sucker) I have read all these posts about GCS but believe that there’s always 2 sides to every story. Well.... what can I say. Everything you hear about this school might be true?

My reason for this post is simply to warn you to be very, very careful when it comes to your contracts with this school. You might even be there illegally due to “arrangements the school has with the local PSB office” which is currently being investigated outside the province. Please be very careful if you do sign up. I have experienced this first hand. My contract was investigated now that I’m back home safely and all bogus!

The school works with bogus, scamster, false agencies (created by the school) to lure new gullible victims into their wonderful world of teaching. How do I know this? They have been investigated for some time and I’m simply another sucker on the list. (And yes - the kids and school I enjoyed and would have enjoyed had I not found out that I’m part of something illegal!)

If it does not work out (or in my case where i found out that the agency is illegal) - the agency gets to blame. BUT IT’S PART OF THE SCHOOL! PS: The kids, both Chinese and foreign teachers are great. 3 teachers left in 2 weeks when I was there? Why - I have no idea and this is not why I’m writing this post. It scared me further.

I left due to the agency (Which is the school). “it’s not us... it’s the agency”. The principal - Mr James Wu - IGNORED MY plea which raised red flags, the vice principal hides behind “contractual obligations” , The FAO office said “ Speak to your agency” and when I mentioned within the first week about this UK dude which is operating Illegally in China as an agent, and that I am there illegally .......it fell upon deaf ears.

PLEASE VERIFY AGENTS AT YOUR LOCAL EMBASSY IN THE FUTURE (before you depart) - You might just find out it’s the school or a scam of some sort.

I have a ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ANYTHING THAT’S ILLEGAL. I left with my dignity intact with no pay and the school says they paid the agency and the agency says the school never paid them. It’s actually really funny now that I look back. I think I might have come out of this mess with self respect. I’m not going to bore you with further details but the good news is that I”m told that the whole operation is financially run by a group of Chinese Mafia and on the radar screen from Interpol in the PRC and internationally for tax avoidance and money laundering. Whether this is true or not? I have no idea. I rest my case, have been scammed and let sleeping dogs lie. Be careful out there.
