the Chinese still have a
long way to go, but don't let it discourage you, maybe you can try this online school
which is based in Iran.

An online Iranian employer as a solution to racial discrimination. Nice.

It sucks this is the world we're living in. When I think about it, I have never seen a black teacher in these Chinese online schools, which is just plain stupid. The Chinese can be very closed-minded and unwelcoming of anything new. I have heard that many condemn their mixing with any other race, for example I know a couple where a Chinese woman married a white American man and they had a mixed race daugther. They always get the looks in public and her parents object to their marriage. So you see, the Chinese still have a long way to go, but don't let it discourage you, maybe you can try this online school which is based in Iran. https://oteacher.org/en/become-a-teacher/
Good luck!

This week alone I was scheduled
for 5 days, 3 hours/day. I am getting paid for 6 hours. Trying to work for them honestly
makes me yell at my computer regularly. It's a pain in my ass, but until I can find
another job I need what money I can get out of them.

I'm not mocking you for being poor, but this is a prime example of the fact that many a shit school will seek to exploit a FT's bad financial situation.

They are also f**king stupid by being too honest about the race thing.

If they're that stupid when it comes to recruiting and causing potential PR disasters, who know what else they could f**k up?

I literally have you're proof that it's based on race - an employee told me right after our Skype interview that apparently the parents get complaints from the kids that are apparently scared of black people? Shows a much larger issue at hand overall, but also shows reluctance to actually move on as a society and simply tell the kids to deal with it.

Dude you are not missing out not working for them. They pay is fine, but getting them to pay what they owe is like pulling teeth. They also have many program problems that they try to blame on their tutors so they don't need to pay them. This week alone I was scheduled for 5 days, 3 hours/day. I am getting paid for 6 hours. Trying to work for them honestly makes me yell at my computer regularly. It's a pain in my ass, but until I can find another job I need what money I can get out of them.

I applied to this Company called QuquAbc. They invited me to a Skype interview. It was a pleasant experience. Then i was invited to a 2 hour training. I did training and was told that we should schedule for a final demo lesson. I scheduled with the trainer. On the day of the demo they sent me an email saying they had to reschedule for the other week because they are short staffed and they are updating their courseware. So well enough I waited and rescheduled with them the next week. They next day an email came in saying that they cannot offer me a position at this time. So in confusion I messaged the trainer on skype. She said that they are not short on staff, so they thought it would be best for them to tell me so i dont waste me time. Fair enough right? I continued my search only to see they put out and advertisment the next day on this site that they need teachers. Add to that my friend was invited to an interview just a few days ago. I cant say they are a scam but i do believe these Chinese company hire based on superficial reasons for example race. I just wish they would say what they want in their ads so people who dont fit their ideals dont waste their time and apply! As a black person I find very difficult to apply to these online schools because though the ask for degrees and tefl/celta etc they hire based on looks and not on your qualifications and abilities. Just my thoughts. Anyone share the same sentiments?
