No offence, but you sound like a bit of a pussy. Dalian? It's Dongbei and it's probably only Dongbei lite at that. Don't expect tropical climates, a lack of industrial pollution, spicy food and sissy girly men like some places down South. Cities like Dalian, Shenyang, Anshan etc tend to be a bit rough, Soviet inspired etc, cold in winter but there's many a nice area to be found up there and there's shitloads for you to do. I suspect that you're an idiotic newbie teacher that barely even speaks the language yet and isn't very adventurous. Many of us actually avoid those first tier cities when possible because they're excessively expensive, full of pretentious twats and a bit fake in general.
