It simply won't happen Batman. Turnip and his cohorts, though they have precious little in the way of constructive comments to offer up, are like talking heads that control the media in some countries. Lots of blah, blah; little in the way of substance, but never the less are not reigned in. I think the best we can do is to encourage their inane rantings so that we can have an occasional laugh at their complete lack of ability to properly use the English language, and so that we can be reminded that there are many folks out there who take delight in making complete fools out of themselves.

Let's face it some folks just don't have a filter. There's a few of them at the university where I'm employed. At first they were an annoyance. "Good Gawd," I thought, "how is it that such individuals could actually be employed as teachers of individuals who are in the process of having their futures shaped." But now I take comfort in the realization that soon their tenuresas teachers here will come to an end. Pretend teachers will be cast out and not asked to return. Silvertot et al. will find themselves wishing they had shown a little more respect for their hosts.

Turnip? Well, he's a whole other story deserving of his own paragraph. At one time his rantings were somewhat acceptable in that they seemed well intentioned. But now he's gone of the deep end in terms of believing in his own mission. I fear that he has a messianic complex of some kind that he may never lose. But fortunately he no longer teaches here. Who'd want him anyway as long as he can't find anything nice to say about China? I do have hopes for him though. He's got a pretty clever mind - just a little out in the ozone right now unable to find its way back to reality. Maybe he left it back in Sorbonne somewhere when he did his Doctoral work in "linguists," as he said.

Now Choatle - well, there's a real piece of work. One can only wonder where he learned English and why he believes he can use it. He's a perfect example of someone who hasn't the means to carry a meaningful thought very far, so must resort to criticism to justify his existence as a poster in this forum and a teacher in this country. He too will soon find himself out of a job though, and in all probability will be adamantly refused re-entrance into the country; not only for his small mindedness, but simply because he couldn't teach his way out of a paper bag if his life depended on it. Even still, once he breaks free of this need to criticize, there may be hope for him too.

You may have noticed that all of these guys are totally in love with Frank Zhang. Their love for him has transcended the ordinary. So much so that Frank has become their private obsession. He should be honored by their loving attention even though it is reversely expressed in their vile writings because they simply can't accept how unnatural their love is for him. All very psychological actually and quite beyond my field of expertise.

But let's give them slack for now - they're just a little lost and in need of guidance.
