I am writing this letter to thank you for all your kindness and for being such a great help to me during my time in China. I had only been in Shanghai a few days when I first met you and I wanted to say how deep my gratitude is for all your assistance and friendship.

I will certainly recommend you to other friends or any one I come across who needs help in getting job introductions, personal contacts, travel arrangements or information on all and any topic.

I now have a job and an apartment, but wish to continue our friendship.
