Again, veg head, you show an inability to follow a thread from its inception. The initiator of this thread, although revealing the same inability to focus as you display in your writing, referenced race and color; therefore, my response also referenced race and color.

Beyond that, you've definitely shown your ignorance in regards to American society. Perhaps you haven't noticed that we're about to elect an African American as our next President. Yes, America has moved at a snail's pace in terms of racial equality; however, there is a huge segment of our society that is color blind in that sense. Those who make sweeping generalities about any society, country or race are small minded, so I'm not surprised to see you attack American society in this way. But I am surprised at how willingly you show your ignorance about this and other matters. Still having trouble keeping that mask on, aren't you? Your comment about the language we use in the US is also rather revealing. I seriously doubt that you could speak intelligently about American English, nor do I give any credence whatsoever to your judgments about my or anyone else's use of it.

Finally, you seem to be convinced that I'm Caucasian. What makes you think so? This, by the way, is not a rhetorical question. I really would like to know why you're so convinced that I'm white. Be careful with your answer, though, as it will speak volumes about your perceptions - as will your choice not to answer the question if that's the tact you take.

Oh, by the way, I come from a State where we elected as our Governor the first Chinese American to ever be elected to such a high office. America never did quite achieve its self proclaimed status as a "melting pot." It is, however, a multi-cultural society and is moving ever closer to the time when most of those cultures will enjoy equal status. There are, of course, those that will argue that assertion, and perhaps their arguments will touch upon certain truths that center upon mans inhumanity to man, but I for one would rather look toward the future with a more positive view.
