Yes,this teaching compound that the teachers are obliged to stay at seems to be getting infamous to say the least. I haven't been there but have heard many strange tales, for example, one night a young foreign teacher was disturbed at about three in the morning by the repugnant little headmaster, Mr River and his cronies who had gotten drunk on Chinese wine and had somehow entered his apartment.

As for the teaching assistants, they are in fact trained to spy on their foreigners but the risks of non-compliance for them is the sack- so,to be fair, they are the innocent victims of an evil regime; although, I agree, some of them are right little madams.

My advice to any teachers thinking about Yuncheng IELTS is, that way do not go. Look at it this way, there has been too may bad things written about this place, too much for all of it to be vindictive nonsense.
