This is all very good advice, especially for younger people who are teaching as an opportunity to travel. I would only add that you must remember that you are coming to a foreign country, in every sense of that word 'foreign', not every oversight is deliberate or malicious, and most things can be discussed, if you've done your homework as Choatle suggests.
I've taught English in 4 different countries, and my stay in China was, by far' the most pleasurable and rewarding. I'm teaching summer school in Korea at the moment, but I can't wait to get back to China in September.
