In response to EUI Kunming (furusek)

I assume you've checked out their website. If so, you realize you will be teaching 3-5 years old. If that's your cup of tea, maybe you'll be alright with them; however, I find the wording of their job offer to be a little suspicious. That is, in the section where they outline what you'll receive for working part time, it has in parenthesis that it could be up to 20 hours. Moreover, it seems to me that you'll basically be the class clown. In short, if you love kids and want to be an entertainer rather than a teacher, the pay is pretty good for Kunming. Another downside, though, in my opinion, is that, as stated in their website, until you prove yourself, you'll be under the control of Chinese TA's. That could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you end up working with.

On another note, although Kunming is a great city in many ways, it is fast becoming one of the most polluted cities in China. Several years ago, when I first came to China, I quite enjoyed Kunming. I now go there at least twice a year as I transit to other locations in Yunnan - my favorite province - but each time I go there I enjoy it less than the last time. Nevertheless, having said that, I still like it more than many other cities in China that are far worse in terms of overcrowding, terrible traffic and pollution.
