First, I haven't seen that Turnoi professes to have a flock of followers, nor do I recall him suggesting that he wishes that were the case. Second, I believe that it is said that one should worship in their own closet, so who gives a darn whether or not one is worthy of having a church wherein they can pontificate. Third, Turnoi, like many other posters in this forum, is only asking for fairness and honesty.

It is unfortunate that Turnoi revealed the fact of his priesthood. Now there will be posters such as you who try to use that against him and hold him to a standard that suggests that priests are somehow different than the common man and therefore not subject to imperfections. However, I'm sure that he will be the first to admit that he is not perfect and that he does not expect perfection from others. What he does expect and hope for, and what I expect and hope for and what others involved in this profession expect and hope for from EFL in China is quite a bit more honesty and forthrightness. Is there something wrong with that? That's a serious question that I'm asking you and you alone, Penelope. What's your answer?

Finally, though I have not entered into the priesthood, I have in the past devoted myself to theological studies. There was a time that I thought I might become cloaked; however, circumstances led me down another path. Nevertheless, I have found that my studies led to me a kind of faith that did not necessitate or demand that my beliefs be exercised in such a way that they could only be manifested behind the doors of a church. I find spirituality in many things and in many people. The average so called Christian does not walk a path that I would consider righteous. Therefore, to argue that church goers are capable of determining who should or who should not be leading them is a specious argument at best.

Take your faith a few degrees higher. Truth is not always found behind closed doors.
