Just changed the post heading in case there is another city in China by the name of Suzzhou with a decent foreign language school named after it.After all,we shouldn't tar all such foreign language schools with the same brush!
Professionals at SFLS have shown themselves to be unprofessional by composing the kind of teaching contract that you'd be hard-put to come across anywhere in the Western world,let alone in developing countries like China.
BTW,maybe some of you don't know that as a rule Chinese teachers working for private schools have no contracts at all with their employers.That's why most of them would prefer to teach within the state sector.But unfortunately the 'family register system' places severe restrictions on their job mobility.Educated Chinese from villages who do not want to teach at state schools in the sticks generally have no choice but to work in the private education sector if they wish to reside in the richer parts of the country.
