Yes, the Holistic English program itself has not, as far as I know, met with much success yet. Convincing administrators to create an English Speaking Environment is probably one of the biggest hurdles. I, and a few other teachers where I've been employed for the last three years, have tried our best to make even slight inroads in that regard to no avail. Not surprising, though, since our Dean is around 75 years old and the school leaders are all from the same generation. I guess the old guard will have to fade away before any real changes can be instigated. Now, lest I get attacked for the implication that the older generation is incapable of change, let me add that I don't believe that is always the case. I'm not getting any younger myself, by the way, yet I'm still fairly malleable.
