I've read this thread and decided to put my two cents in.

First of all, yeah, the Sacred Heart School has some issues it needs to work out. I worked there last year and they do have some problems with the local government. Not a bad place per se, I enjoyed the more straight up teaching work and the older students, but the ARC fiasco is more than a bit of a headache.

Second of all is how this thread has seemingly degenerated from a fairly legit warning about a school with issues to recruiter bashing. go2teachenglish in fact has a pretty high return rate. I've met quite a few of their foreign teachers and they actually get helped out acclimating to the point that they will go back when the time to find work returns, a rare phenomena based on what I've seen and the people I've met in my years in Taiwan. It is a superior strategy to the sink or swim used by other recruiters.

Sacred Heart and the Keelung government need to sit down and hash things out, but don't leave the recruiters holding the bag.
