In response to beijing (ashlie)

Experience the real China. Teach in a 'farout place'. You will be warmly received by your students and your fellow Chinese teachers. You will be a big fish in a small pond. China has many such places. They can be very interesting places in which to live, very different from the big cities that are westernised and attracive to a lot of self-serving foreigners.
But make sure your agency is not cheating you financially, and that you will be paid direct by your school. Accept only positions at public schools. Insist on your agency providing you with the contact details of your new employer. Speak with him first before even thinking of signing a contract. If you cannot get the contract stamped by him to sign before venturing there, don't go. Google the school's name to ensure there are no bad reports about it. Google the town or city's name to to find out more about the place. In other words, do your homework first. That's most important!
