SCHOOLS AND RECRUITERS REVIEWS

Well unfortunately I think there's little chance of IELTS going broke any time soon. For starters most new teachers who come to China don't see these warnings we give- I don't suppose it occurs to them that these companies could be so dishonest- anyway, when you're excited about embarking on the Chinese adventure all sense and discernment goes out of the window.

Secondly, most of their[IELTS] teachers are from Africa, nice blokes which IELTS pays 30% less because they are not white (they don't pass on the savings to their clients)- but, IELTS wages are not bad compared to what they get in Africa.

Thirdly, the school leaders are not interested in good teaching but rather grey cash from River's sweaty mit, and that their students are happy because they are being entertained and taught precious little English by the FT's. You can't blame the FT's, because proper teaching will find you the door. In this seedy world of IELTS-type outfits things are turned upside down, the bad teacher's are relabelled good and the good bad. Or, to be fair to pressurised FT's, the good pretend to be bad in order to appear good in MR River's eyes........or was it the bad pretending to be good to appear bad which is really good- I'm confused.
