Thanks for the support. I went there with high hopes, even though it was a 1.5 hour trip one way. However after seeing the place, and being treated in such a shabby way, well, I'm glad I walked out. There is plenty of other places to work thankfully, I just wish that all places wanting to hire part time would adopt weekly pay scale at the least. Expecting me or any other foreigner to work at a Chinese school without even the small protection offered by a proper visa and contract, yet agree to monthly pay seems unreasonable to me. I guess they figure it will give them some greater control over us, as it is rather hard to quit if they are always holding a full month of your wages at any given time. Quit, and basically you don't get it. Doesn't actually work from my experience, considering how often people have to quit due to poor treatment, such as what I received during my interview. I guess this wisdom is lost on most training centers. I'm just annoyed I wasted a day of my time on this kook.
