YUMING SCAM UPDATE ALERT!!!!!!!!!!

I am now able to give the lowdown on two teachers who have just been screwed over by Yuming. they have left, or should I say pushed out so they won't mind me reporting the details now.

Basically 2 girls from Canada came to Tianjin recently with the intention of working for Yuming. They had been reliably informed by another Canadian teacher that Yuming was ok, unfortunately this teacher made that statement shortly after starting and had not experienced the full horror yet. As he did not know the two girls very well and had only made a comment on another board somewhere he had no idea they were on their way otherwise he would have told them no. They made contact with him on arrival by email to say they were in Tianjin and he told them to be very careful and explained why, obviously they were concerned.

Anyway what happened is this. Yuming picked them up from their airport and took them to a hotel close to the office stating that their apartment was not ready just yet and that they would foot the bill for the hotel stay. The girls were put into a generally decent hotel and were told to call the office the following day and given the number.

The next day they called and were told the situation had not changed yet and to have a rest and call again the next day. This went on for a few days and they were then told that someone would be along the following day at a specific time in the morning to collect them and take them to the apartment.

The following day the time came and went so the girls called the office and got no reply. They kept calling thoughout the day till eventually they spoke to someone who seemed vauge as to who they were and any details. Eventually they were called back and told that they would be collected the next day to which someone came and picked them up.

The journey to the apartment took somewhere in the region of about 2 hours or more so they had been given an apartment somewhere on the far outskirts of the city. Upon arrival they realised there was really nothing there, the apartment was a disgrace and was dirty, had no running hot water and was basically just a complete and utter mess, as well as being no where near any useful amenities. They asked if the schools they would be teaching at were near the apartment and they were told unfortunately no, they would have to travel by bus or taxi to the schools which were around 2 hours there and two back.

The girls informed them they were not happy, quite rightly so too, and Yuming told them that they would find them another place to live and take them back to hotel, they also apologised and said they fully understood. They were taken to the hotel and dropped off and told to call the office the next day.

The following day they called the office and got no reply, the carried on calling for a few days after and the same thing happened. They decided to go to the office which turned out to be a hive of activity even though they had literally just called it. They spoke to Helen who gracefully informed them that they were going to do nothing. They did not like the apartment arranged so it was up to the girls to find their own apartment and pay for it as well as paying for the hotel as Yuming said they were not doing it.

They were left high and dry with very little money, Yuming never contacted them regarding the health check or registering with the police or indeed finishing off getting their visas, they had been dumped.

Luckily for the girls they have sorted themselves out so Yuming can swivel but just look what these s@@theads do to people. They are the most ruthless backstabbing and selfish group of a@@eholes in the city next to Kid Castle.

I dont care who has worked there without incident or for how bloody long. Just because you didn't loose your hand when you stuck it in the crocodiles mouth does not mean the animal is not very capable and willing to do so next time or indeed the first time to someone else, as is the case it seems with crappy Yuming education.

So there we go, another two teachers screwed over. High salary, Good Reputation my backside. The high salary gets split in two due to the unforeseen holiday periods and exactly which fictitious group of people does Yuming have this good reputation with, most certainly not with the seasoned members of the expat community in Tianjin thats for sure because anyone who has been here a while knows to avoid them.
