Perlandas is still around? It just goes to show that gullibility is a trait which humans never seem to lose. This outfit has been around for a long time, creepy crawling through the shadows of society, slowly luring in teachers and using them for their nefarious ends. This place is really a travesty. They employ every single type of con to get you to work for them, their favorite being the bait and switch. Advertise a job that pays a huge salary, then when you get there for an interview, they tell you the job is filled, but we have another one here that might suit you. That other job always pays a great deal less, and is crap, but you have made such a long trip, sometimes traveling from another country. They bank on people being committed, as well as afraid of being stranded in a foreign land where you don't speak the language. Images of ending up homeless and dead in a ditch are common fears for people coming here who end up in such a situation. Is it any wonder that people actually end up working for these people? Those who are already in China are often a bit more savvy, though not always.

I have heard from others that this school is also famous for the vampire salary drain. Basically they will, or have been known to in the past, to take a large percentage of your first months salary, sometimes more then the first month. Isn't that nice, in addition to getting paid by the school, they get paid by the teacher also. They wouldn't need too many suckers with that kind of set up to stay in business.

Perlandas is one of the worst outfits out there, and from what I understand, it is run by a foreigner, shocker. I would advise avoiding this place, as well as any place that offers the "too good to be true" job. You will now it when you see it, 12,000 yuan in some back alley town, where you only have to teach 10 hours a week. Don't be lured in by these people, their methods will always reveal their true identity if you make yourself savvy and know what to look for.
