SCHOOLS AND RECRUITERS REVIEWS

You can pretty much tell how professional a teaching organization is by the name they portray publicly. That would be no different for a juku known as "Matty's"

I fit the blond hair, blue eyed stereotype and was contacted by this school to begin and immediate position. I turned them down flatly as a result of a repugnant questionnaire I received.

The questions were shocking. The "questionnaire" did not inquiry into my abilities as a teacher, they asked repugnant and illegal questions. Here are some examples.
1) My age. (Japan doesn't want any real teachers, they prefer someone that merely has a 4 year degree, to hell with any real life experience to bring to the table.)
2) My sex.
3) How old I am.
4) My religion.
5) My mother's religion. (Obvious this is aimed at muslims).
6) My father's religion. (Obvious this is aimed at muslims).
7) How much debt I owe.
8) List all personal debts and who they are owed to. (Can you imagine such a question?)

This school is not interested in hiring qualified teachers. What they are obviously doing is profiling.

It's no secret that Japanese schools, RARELY hire blacks, minorities, especially Muslims, Chinese descendants, Korean descendants, Fillipino's, etc.

It's also well-known these repugnant organizations, mostly owned by foreigners must obey Japanese labor codes AND the labor codes of the country where they are citizens. In that, in countries such as Australia, Britain, Canada and the U.S. the above questions are illegal to ask.

There are plenty of jobs, don't settle for working with kooks like this. Stay away and help put them out of business. Demand them to change their illegal policies, that is, if you ever want to be considered respectable in your profession.
