Allen you clearly know very little about teaching in China, and merely wish to provoke a response, i.e. be provocative.

I myself have a degree in both English and Education, however I have never found work here paying what you suggest is possible. 80,000 USD a year? You can't make that teaching in America unless you are at one of a handful of top tier private schools, and really not even then. What have you been smoken?

People, positions that pay 80,000 USD in China do not exist. Some rare positions paying close to 40,000 USD may exist, in theory, at some top tier international schools, real ones, not the training centers that call themselves this. However those jobs are never advertised, but instead are filled via word of mouth and who you know.

Allen shows a remarkable "lack" of understanding in regards to ESL here in China, while trying to show that he has a great understanding. You won't be finding work that pays this much in China, trust me on this.
