My post was not necessarily talking about ESL in China - Which is why I was asking if the original poster had qualifications beyond the typical ESL teacher in China. If you look at the website, the program offering the position (scam or not) was a program teaching subjects (maths, sciences, and language arts) not ESL. Therefore, it may be one of those schools that pay more.

I was suggesting proceed with caution rather than dismiss it altogether. Which I still think is the way to go.
