Not sure I could say this Japanese school is a crap school, as you did not work there, and have nothing to relate to us as far as work environment or the schools staff and management. That said the questionnaire does indeed raise some questions in regards to their hiring practices, but not in regards to the quality of the school as a good place to work. Maybe it's bad, maybe it's good. I am bothered by their being so obvious, but this is really no different then many other countries, including China and Korea, though I would expect more fro a Japanese school. The truth is most asian schools will be this biased racially, they just won't be as obvious about it. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad. Anyhow, you can't really speak to the places quality as a school based upon their hiring practices, that isn't logical really, however I don't agree with their approach, or their questions. Also to be fair, more Japanese schools than not are more fair in their hiring. Also, we hear very little about Japanese schools in regards to complaints, that should tell you something.

I don't like the schools approach, and I would probably not work there, I think you would have to though before you could comment on the work environment. You can try to draw conclusions I suppose based upon any connections you may wish to try and between their hiring practices and work environment. Could be that people who are so racist might not be people you wish to work for. Personally I find their practices distasteful, but I'm not naive enough to believe that most Asian schools don't operate under such tenets. Doesn't make it right of course, it's just reality.
