I would just like to warn potential teachers who apply to the Turkish chain school "English Time" that they may not get paid. This is not necessarily a scam, thus I'm not posting it under the scam section. The school is real and they are located in various cities here in Turkey as well as the UK, and the US. However, here in Turkey, at least Izmir, if you take the job, you may have serious problems getting paid for your hours. They are currently 1 week late paying me for last month's hours. Due to the fact that there was no pay on payday, I ended my employment with them. I am also waiting for my pay for this month. In total, they owe me about 800 lira - not chump change. I have heard almost nothing from them, even though a woman who was supposedly from the home office, called to find out my "issues" with them (she wasn't even aware that they hadn't paid me). The local site manager has ignored the situation and there is no information on their website about how to contact the home office. Just a warning to the good teachers out there.
