I take it that this bloke is being sarcastic and hates the sight of 'The King' and everything he says. Either that or he gives
as much attention to what he writes and how as His majesty himself. If written with an old-fashioned pen and ink he'd need lots of blotting paper, and ink would be all over the carpet, I imagine. NO!
