This a friendly tip to avoid Dalian Polytechnic's 2+2 program. It is a "feeder" program which takes students who are low-achievers and tries to get them to score at least 6.5 on the IELTS exam. The kids are promised that they will get to go to a real university after they complete two years of this program in China. The administrator of the progam (a character called "Janson") promises their rich parents that if they pay enough money their only child can go abroad and become successful. Janson ([edited]) has never been a teacher and his background is in accounting. He basically preys on the unrealistic hopes and dreams of the Chinese parents who are desperate for the children to pay for their retirement in the future.

The teachers "office" is abysmal. There isn't a copy machine, PC or any other resources besides the one book that you can use for your "curriculum". If you need more than a few pages that the printer can handle you must wait 1-3 days to get the copies for the copy center. In addition, the dirty campus is located directly across the street from the international airport. So, lessons are often interupted by airplanes flying overhead.
The only teacher who has stayed beyond a semester is a 66-year old teacher without many other options. Stay away from this program!
