Yes, don't worry, I was including myself, I'm not very bright either. I'm about average, I'd say.

Modesty is not one of the strong points of Chinese teachers nor that of many foreign teachers here. I'd say if you're about average in terms of western intellectual levels, thst will make you an expert here. Everything is relative, of course. So, you're entitled to hold a foreign expert certificate here, as opposed to back in your homeland. I'm sure you won't let that go to your head, even though you must be fully aware there are many pretenders here with them.
