I am posting this as a 'Word of Caution'...I previously helped to start ACPI some 4 to five years back. They currently have two locations in District 9 and in Binh Thanh. I had never had a problem regarding pay until I was offered a position teaching in Thanh Hoa, a small and up coming city south of Hanoi. They hired another individual and myself on the 7th of May, 2011 to teach at the Hong Duc University in Thanh Hoa. The start date was to be the 9th with payments due on the 25th and the 10th of each month. Furthermore, noted was a 'contract' to be sent within the following week...which was not done. I quit teaching two years previously due to the lack of a contract and their failure of 'getting' a work permit for me...I've got my own now, not through a school.
The other individual did not receive his payment/contract and left without receiving such. Only after returning to HCMC upset some three weeks later he received his payment.
As for myself, I left on the 4th of June without receipt of payment and have yet (06-29) to receive full payment of such for some 65 hours. I have only received about half as of today.

During my 3 and a half weeks at the University, there was only a weekly schedule of classes for each day given on Saturday or Sunday before the next week. No syllabus for the TOEFL courses were given nor any additional material other than two downloaded PDF files anywhere. The Computers were 'unsecured' and loaded with a virus. Often times unable to access such due to the 'area' and content...I never used the computers after day one.

Knowing this Director for some years I was very surprised. After several contacts with the director back in HCMC I was told that the problem was the non-receipt of payments from the Thanh Hoa Univerisity. While I was at the university, two teachers from another local university stated that some Vietnamese teachers at this university had not received payment often...
