Sadly, confucianism is something that is very rarely seen in china. In fact it can be arguable of what the actual concept of modern confucianism actually is. China and the chinese certainly don't behave like they did hundreds of years ago with regards to promoting the good parts of behavior that is derived/inspired by confucianism. So what is real confucianism as can be actually observed?? One could possbily find this in countries around china instead of inside china. The notion of the "confucian academies" as set up and funded by the communist government within china and overseas can be argued by some as nothing more than the promotion of how people should be viewed/treated as interpreted by overarching idea of communism.

The notion of confucianism itself is both accepted and rejected by asians in general on many different levels due to the perceived socially oppressive customs and stigma of being yourself, which is interpreted in modern times as being a western culturalcentric trait. It is still up to the common people to accept their own responsibility of developing within themselves a will to be free in spirit and be willing contributors to society while not being overly dependent by controlling western and eastern ideas and drawing flawed, self assuming, self rationalizing, and ignorant caricatures of what they think a "new" way of doing things are. Letting go of trying to make others believe in what you believe in is in fact the first step towards bringing mutual respect and trust for one another. Only then will the gratification of being within each others company inspire confidence and then not as many folks will want to explore other places due to the notion of the "grass is greener than the other side".

Truly, original chinese culture cannot be brought about as long as we live in a society where everyone hates Henan people for no better reason than because they're Henanese, what can you do to help better the situation? Neither is spending excessive money promoting business such as "schools" that hire underqualified westerners who perpetuate negative stereotypes of the respective countries that they come from. These are just 2 small examples of the many factors in china that perpetuate more ignorance towards the already ignorant. Let's all find solutions towards waking others up.
