7.Be weary about the contract details - discuss the details with your prospective employer BEFORE you go -e.g., teaching 20 hours a week for a monthly salary of only 5000 RMB is simply a cheat!

I'm wearying (=wearysome) correcting your mistakes. Replace 'weary' by 'wary'! The former means tired, while the latter means cautious.
For those without bachelor's degrees, the issuance of a Z visa can be problematic. That's because education bureaus in China seldom issue an FEC (foreign expert certificate) to such foreigners - no FEC likely translates to no Z visa, which in turn means no Residence Permit!
Teaching 20 hours a week, as you say, is ambiguous in itself imo. There's a big difference in hours worked between 1200 minutes/week, and 20 teaching
hours/week, of say 45 minutes each, = 900 minutes. Be wary of what is meant by 'hours' in your contract. Get it specified in minutes of time in the contract. Last I heard Linyi University only pays 4000 EMB/month, a bit on the low side for state universities. The eight-week probationary period isn't great
either. Eight weeks into a term is a bad time to be hunting for a new job in the event of things going sour for you there with your employer.
Finally, I hate rats too. But I think mice are much more tolerable in an apartment. The only thing is they widdle often and everywhere, and nibble away at leftovers!
