Comment: I had a good experience with this school in 2010-2011. I was given a comfortable apartment, plenty of free time and the salarly was enough to live a comfortable life in China. 4200 RMB a month is not a lot in a Western country but when the extras are included they amount to a lot; rent, phone, power, gas, cable television and the internet - even a computer with a printer was provided. There is also a end of semester bonus and airfare reimbersement (although they paid the minimum necessary). There was not a lot of guidance from the English Department, and for an inexperienced teacher this meant that it took some time to understand what I was supposed to teach in my Spoken English classes. I guess being a confident example of a native English speaker is one requirement.

The International Office (who is the ultimate employer) can be distant at times, and their decisions can appear somewhat arbitary, and they are responsible for the major issues. Of the 11 months I was employed there, I had at least four months with full pay and no classes scheduled, giving me a lot of options.
