There are so many complaints about WanCheng, but I will add to the list of complaints in hopes that someone will be saved the hassle of dealing with these guys. Incase you are not good with Chinese names, WanCheng's office is located on the third floor of the Marriote Hotel in JieFangBei (the center of ChongQing), and if you ever find yourself there, get out as soon as you can. It looks very nice, but it's all a facade.
WanCheng consistantly misleads (lies) its teaching staff regarding everything from living arangements, to utilities, to teaching location. I have heard of teachers waiting for MONTHS without work, and, even though they had signed contracts, being denied pay as a result of WanCheng failing to provide them with work.
In addition, WanCheng has deliberately mislead client schools by lying about the quality of their teachers. The misleading information has included (but is probably not limited to): age, educational background, english fluency level, and nationality. WanCheng typically charges from 150-200rmb per hour to the client schools, while paying the teacher a supposed wage of usually around 60-80rmb an hour. I use the word "supposed" because almost nobody gets their last months pay OR airfare reimbursement. This usually means that if you work for WanCheng, they will take you for a minimum of 10000rmb. Afterall, you are leaving, so why should they pay you your last month's salary.. you are no longer making money for them. I will list some names that I can remember, whom you should ask to contact if you are brave enough to risk working with these guys. I am also a past employee, but please don't contact me, take these people's words for it (they are all past employees):

As stated in a previous complaint by another person, if these people (and the people I added) all quit WanCheng for personal reasons, then WanCheng should have no problems providing their emails. There are plenty of other companies in China that arent as bad as WanCheng, and which pay more. I urge you not to consider working for WanCheng under ANY circumstance. And if by chance you are a client school, keep in mind that WanCheng is not above hiring substandard teachers and contracting them out to you.
