What was said in the review below by Alex on GLV is very true, I went to GLVs website www.glvchina.com, under recruitment, and under Applying for a tourist Visa (L Visa) at the ports of entry, you can see, first they will tell you how easy to get a 3 month tourist visa, only 2 steps. According to them: You need about 1 hour to complete the process. Then they will tell you how difficult to get a regular working visa: The whole process takes at least 3 weeks. And listed all 8 scary steps and expensive prices, their purpose is very clear: they want foreigners to work for them on tourist visa, which is illegal, like Alex said: foreigners can be deported anytime if they work in China with tourist visa, very dangerous!

They did mention that they will apply for foreigner for their working visa after foreigners sign contract with them, but when? What will you do before you sign contract? Dont worry, they will put you into their volunteer teachers program first. Do they pay you? Of course not, you are all on your own, you pay all the expenses, but you teach just like a regular teacher, they rip you off good. The time length of the program is indefinite, after long time of teaching for free, they might tell you that they dont like you. Or even if they do decide to apply working visa for you, they have made a lot of money from you already (believe me, thats a lot of money from students tuition), enough to cover the visa cost and their fair share (they dont deserve it at all), they are nothing but bunch of crooks! Stay away from them!
