First of all, let me say that this is a great site; I've gained a great deal of insight into the ESL teaching world in China. I've put in a great deal of effort into doing my due diligence as I am one of those newbies to which one of you referred. Haha. I was about half a step from signing a contract with Yuming for a spot in Tianjin. Are they truly a sour apple or did a few people simply have a bad experience? To sum up everything I have read and experienced, I get the impression the company is not illegal or dishonest (per se) but they do not volunteer information--I had to ask a lot of the right questions--and they're short on guarantees for their teachers. Does that sum it up or is there something more to it? I'm actually going through the jobs posted on this site now that I have found it. Are there other tidbits I should know? I am all ears (and eyes). Thank you.
