I prefer Western food these days in China, I became sick of the local cuisine. For myself, with generally poor cooking skills and no wife, I don't have much choice but to eat out.

me too. I am in the same boat. Not having a wife really sucks, although I can cook fairly well, but am lazy, too messy for one person, and hate washing up. Did enough hard slog back in hot kitchens in the UK in my 20s, no desire to even get my hands wet again really.

One food I can recommend is xinjiang style, great kebabs, and the xinjiang beer is really hoppy and refreshing. For those who don't drink the blackcurrant juice, by I think Amina company is really refreshing. The da pan ji is a must!!!
