I am in relatively distant touch these days and what you saw goes back a few years - but coincidentally I was back in China last week on business and met one of the former Chinese staff members who is now in a senior position elsewhere. He tells me that the overall position has deteriorated in recent years, mainly due to big changes in Chinese hierarchy - the boss died and his daughter has taken over. The place is no longer attracting nearly as many students and is liable to more official Government involvement unless things improve . On that basis I personally would definitely not be going back there - there are now a lot better places that I would be selecting.
