Interesting email I received last month, thought I would share.

I've been working for Deler for 7 months now, and my experience has been dissapointing. I took a job with them in Nanjing because I needed to get out of the small town that I was in. I was there a month before they transferred me to a small city which was exactly the place I was trying to get away from for a while. I was unhappy there and started to look for other jobs, and resigned but David Chen asked me to stay and finish the semester, which I did to my own detrement. I had offers for twice as much.So I stayed, at the end of the semester I asked for a transfer under 2 conditions and it was agreed.I needed a new working visa and I wanted to start immediately, since my visa was expiring and I couldnt afford a month without working.....(on the current scale it does not take a astro physicist to figure out why). David Chen did not communicate this to the staff here, and after i arrived I was told no work and no money for 6 weeks.I was furious ,but what could I do.I hadno money left after my move here,so I could not go anywhere else. iwas stuck.The school borrowed me money and teachers here has helped me, but basicly I've been living like a beggar for nearly 2 months now.The money I earn now I have to pay all my debts with. As Im writing this, I have no money for food and next pay day is 10 days away.I've lost so much.Self respect,pride I have none left.All they say it was a communication error, nobody's fault really. But I have to bear the consequence of their incompetence. Now those 6 weeks without work is also excluded from the contract period, so Ilose that time as well, meaning I have to work 13 months instead of 11 bfore my plane ticket is refunded. Pleas publish this as a warning for prospective teachers. Im getting out as soon as I can. Their incompetent,not trustworthy and definitely not sensitive towards teachers individual needs. They advertise a 4000 yuan base salary but say that you can work in alot of overtime which means up to 8 500 yuan. All lies! Ive never earned more than 4000.
