I suppose what I'm saying Turnoi, or a lot of my meaning is, they (some Chinese students) do not need somebody with your or LG's qualifications. Perhaps this word teacher is the problem. Perhaps most of us who do not have your or LG's qualifications should be relabelled as something else "Western oral English helpers" for example. Now, would you object to it, if a school in China said, we don't want a properly qualified teach(our budget won't stretch to it or something) but in order to enhance the good work our Chinese English teachers do, we could do with a couple of Westrn English speakers who can speak with the students in a structured fashion? We don't actually need teachers as such. I mean, I learned most of my Mandarin from ordinary Chinese people, they were not teachers. Would you have any objection to that? Can you not see that there could be a place in the Chinese English learning, where JO Bloggs, ex-plumber could adequately replace you or LG. Or free-up you or LG. Perhaps you or LG would be better used if sent to Beijing University. Oral English and following Chinglish lesson plans could be left to Mr Bloggs. Isn't sending you or LG into schools where they just want to get basic conversations going, a bit of n over-kill?
