I hope you've got a Z visa. If not you got screwed and, whilst i sympathise with you, that's not going to help - so i suggest you leave. Getting jobs is much harder than it used to be - especially if you don't have the right paperwork!

All depends how much spunk this person has. He/she could find another job by putting one foot in front odf the other and continuing to do so, with determination. More than possibe in Shandong to find somebody to convert L into F or send him to HK to get a Z visa.
