I have worked at Wonderland since October 2011. I have been here for 12 months now, and will return home in 2. The boss asked us to sign on for another year, and I would have loved to if I hadn’t had plans for when I go home. I really love working here. The hours are long and it’s exhausting work, but if you want a real job and you have some stamina, this place is great. Warning: You must have some understanding of Asian culture (or willingness to learn and understand Asian culture) to work here. Sometimes the plans change or extra work is given without a lot of notice. But the boss honestly tries to make it easier on you, you are not yelled at for small or accidental mistakes, the pay is good, you are paid on time and honestly (with receipts), and the boss is willing to help you with absolutely anything that you need. He orders food for me when I don’t feel like cooking; if I go to a restaurant and don’t know what to order, I can call him. When I went on vacation, he called my hotel and the bus station to make sure my information was correct. They have just moved the teachers to nice, new apartments with air conditioning, also. The kitchen is quite small, but otherwise the place is great. Jecheon is a major railroad junction, so it’s easy to catch a train to just about anywhere in Korea. The train to Seoul takes 2 hours, and leaves every hour. Jecheon has beautiful mountains, a beautiful lake, plenty of Lotte Marts and an E-Mart, brand name clothing stores, a movie theater (that shows some English movies), bowling, and plenty of good restaurants. It’s nearby a place that has golf and paragliding, and near another place that has bungee jumping and a big swing. There is plenty to do, especially if you go to Seoul about once a month. If you are industrious, hard-working, and positive, I highly recommend Jecheon Wonderland.
