There is some prejudice with the labeling of "north american born chinese". I know of people of Asian American descent who raise their kids to be patriotic to Canada or the USA, whatever country they are born in. I would just see the teacher as American or Canadian. These things do change slowly but we must acknowledge and make people feel accepted. Certainly would separate us from the real racists.
