While reviewing current postings on the ESL Jobs in China page, I found one from May 30 "Summer - Nanjing, China *Link*." In it, a contact named Mary Jew offers a teaching position which states:

"Summer Teaching Exchange Program in Nanjing, international school grades 1st -10

Tour China in exchange for salary - four different cities for teaching two weeks of intensive English

Program dates are July 9 -August 3, 2006

Two weeks of teaching from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with a two hour lunch break."

Wow! What a WONDERFUL opportunity! You mean I can teach six hours a day for FREE (while the school probably collects 1000s of RMB from each student and their parents for the services of the foreign teacher!)??? Lucky Me!!!

Where do I sign up for this golden offer??? The ad doesn't say exactly, but will I get the chance to teach six, or maybe seven days a week???

FOREIGN TEACHERS WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN TO CHINA -- BEWARE of such practices!!!
