I grew up in a formerly communist-ruled country, and I had been in prison there for political reasons finally managed to escape. With this background in mind, I know what brainwashing with all kinds of propaganda is, and I hate it! To sell something about the Bible as English Studies to unsuspecting minds, IMHO, comes up to the same. The Christian message is one of freedom and setting you free, and free people decide for themselves if they take or leave it; no Christian brainwashing is needed on the part of some zealous Christian fundamentalists.

It could be that i have not made myself clear enough. Let's try this, forget about China and all the wrongs of Christians giving Christian(or any other variety of belief) instructions, right? Could the Bible be used as an instrument for teaching and learning English, or not? If you could just answer that and that alone, I would appreciate it, please.
