Don't waste your time and energy anymore on posters lime c2. They won't take any well-meant advice; OK, let them have their own experience!
I would not bother anymore to help them in any way; and I don't know what any of them have done on their part to help other people here.
I am sick of all self-serving persons here who expect us to give them just facts.
The facts are there and for all available to read.

Having the facts is one thing, an to interpret and to apply them to one's own situation in order to make the right decision is another.
Requires a bit of intellectual effort, though, but it's just which too many people are too lazy to make.
So, don not bother and just ignore them!!!

This post, in my mind, says EVERYTHING about what C2 and I are on about!!!!!

The bit about 'just facts' really says it all - the truth has become irrelevant! Opinion is now all that matters!!

"The facts are there and for all available to read." - no, they're not! And, for those facts that actually are out there and available, they've been scrambled up with so much crap, they become really hard to find. But, unfortunately, there's so many pointless negative 'fanboy' replies, the 'facts' have become distorted. Any and all negative reviews get 'factualised' by comparisons to other situations, and any countering of that negativity gets quashed in insult ('GW' anyone??)

For instance - I was chatting to a guy last night, who was recommending me to EF. Sure, I'm not going to touch it, but he's relatively happy there - obviously, he wants better, but he doesn't seem to be having any of the problems that have been 'facts' on here... what does that make him, if he should post that on here? A weasel...

My first job here was scored via an agent. Did I get ripped off? Possibly... I was on the same pay as about 80% of job offerings in China (5000). Did I have hassles with visa's? Nope! Accommodation - not the best, but I've been in and paid for worse hotels in China - and much better, IMO, than what was offered at the next job what paid almost treble that. Bad alterations to my contract... nope - stayed the same throughout.

Am I a 'weasel' for saying that not all agents are bad? Yep!

Do I know others who enjoyed their time working for private language mills? Yep!

Are they weasels as well? Must be! (even those schools that have shown up on blacklists, and have been hammered on this forum).

It's like any TV celebrity trial - everyone's got an opinion - and almost no-one knows the truth.
