It seems Im not alone

These are some sample postings from various ESL teacher forums on the web, all posted June 21-24. Each of the selected quotes is in reference to a working/teaching situation in China:

June 21;
It's a new school (1yr old) so most people don't know about it but I have been working here for the past 10mo with 3 other foreign teachers and the lists for each of us is endless in regards to lies, deceit and communication matters. I know you're thinking "so-it's China" but I've worked in China for 2 and a half years now and I would not sick this school on anyone! If you work for the Yuzhen agency in Shanghai then beware of where they post you. If they say Songjiang (a not so convenient and very boring suburb) then run. Honestly, you don't even need the agency--there are jobs to be had without it. I only hope to save someone from making the same mistake as I did, because this school has turned me off China forever...

June 23:
My boss has been making innuendoes about not paying my vacation and airfare reimbursement. If he follows through wit his threats, do I have any recourse?

June 24:
No one at the school would provide me with the schools website. That sent the red flags up the pole!

Well, if you are looking to work in GZ you could do much better than these guys. I just finished there after working only one semester and it was pretty awful. It would be dumb of me to go into the gory details on an open forum so if you or anyone else is considering taking a post there then PM me for a run down of why I think you probably shouldn't bother...
