Wow! What an opportunity! For 3000-4000RMB per month they expect:

1) 14 - 16 hours teaching/week
2) Responsibility for curriculum and materials development associated with courses taught as well as input into overall program curricula
3) Attendance at staff development and in-service training meetings
4) Attendance at orientation, testing, and culminating activities
5) Submission of syllabi for courses taught; grades, student comments, and attendance record keeping

Gee, maybe all those duties/requirements can be accomplished in seven, 12-hour working days per week!

May I also assume that if one does not attend staff development and in-service training meetings, testing sessions, orientations, etc., that one is docked some wages? (My guess is, yes!)

Other standout features of this ad include "good attitude toward China and Chinese people minimally required"!

I also love the fact that more and more school are boasting "free visa application, work ID and residence ID" as if we make those things a personal requirement. Hello! It is the legal requirement of the Chinese government. Why should the foreign teacher ever pay for this?

Good luck to the people in the beautiful "coastle" city of Qingdao!

Thanks, I'll enjoy my Qingdao beer elsewhere for now!
